Revamping Serangoon Garden

We are walking to Serangoon Garden.

This year the Serangoon Garden will be torn down and revamp into a mall. Our favorite place to hang out on saturday morning at dog friendly The Coffee Bean will be gone. I am so sad. So before it is gone, we visit the place more often nowadays. We love to eat breakfast and enjoy the breeze in the morning at Serangoon Garden.

Do I make myself clear?

Before Christmas, Mummy has been home late due to Christmas shopping. And I was already very mad with Mummy for coming home late. Nowadays, Mummy is home late again.... doing Chinese New Year goods shopping. When is it going to end? I showed Mummy my unhappiness with the situation by tearing her Christmas present Nemo placematt and chewing her Singapore Street Directory! Do I make myself clear?

Lovebirds

Why am I talking about loverbirds? Fifteen years ago Mummy have two lovebirds which she reared since babies and let flew all over the apartment. The lovebirds were very closed to Mummy.

Recently, Mummy's friend has a pair of lovebirds that mated and the egg hatched into a baby lovebird. Mummy is thinking of getting a lovebird from this friend. Mmh.. wonder what Cookie and I will do to the baby lovebird? I have to let Mummy know that Cookie and I are hunting dogs and we will finish up the baby lovebird. So Mummy better not to bring the baby lovebird home....

Cookie just likes to sleep

Today is a rainy day. It has been raining whole day. Cookie just like to sleep in the cold weather. As Cookie gets older each year, she sleeps more and more. Cookie also swims less and less, prefering to sun basking instead.

Today we went to Punggol Park in the rain. It is such a beautiful park with a big pond in the middle of the park. We sat at the covered porch looking the pond. Cookie slept while the cold wind blew at her...

Mummy Gone X'mas Shopping

Every evening during weekdays, Mummy comes home early to play with me and Cookie. Then she will feed us our dinner. But during the Christmas period, Mummy has been doing Christmas shopping and comes home late in the night. She feeds us only after she settles down at home. The store room is full of wrapped presents. We can't even play search game anymore. Search game is played when we hide in the store room while Mummy places treats at hiding places for us to search.

In the past, Cookie would pee in the bed whenever Mummy came home late. Thank God she doesn't do that anymore!

This coming long weekend Mummy promises us to go to the beach, parks, and dog cafe to make up for her late nights out shopping.

Sentosa Siloso Beach

On Sunday we have a great time at Sentosa Siloso Beach. Instead of the usual hang out at Tanjong Beach, this time we went to Coastes pub which is very dog friendly. After swimming, we walked along the beach to Siloso Beach. We passed by the resort hotels and restaurants. Finally we settled at Deli France, another dog friendly restaurant. We have some baked potato as treats. We have such great time! We prefer Siloso Beach to Tanjong Beach.

Bishan Park Restaurant

We are waiting at the table while our Mummies are eating their lunch at Bishan Park Restaurant.

It is a very nice and quiet place to have lunch.

We have a nice place to sit and hang out. We have the corner all to ourselves.

Although we are not allowed to sit at the sofa. So we stay on the ground.

Helped a lost Sheltie found her owner

Last night at 10pm while on the road, Buttercup and Mummy saw a lost Sheltie running in front of a fast moving lorry. Buttercup quickly hopped out of the car and chased after the Sheltie. Another gentleman, most probably another dog lover, also helped Buttercup to catch the Sheltie. The Sheltie ran all over the neighbourhood crossing roads full of traffic. It was so dangerous! Mummy went home to get me, an extra leash, collar and some water for the Sheltie. I knew I was on a mission and I was very focus. I ran and chased after the Sheltie while dragging my Mummy along. I was barking and calling the Sheltie to stop running. The Sheltie appeared very frightened! She was running away from us. Mummy was too tired and couldn't run fast enough and lost sight of the Sheltie.

After one hour of chasing the Sheltie ran into the lift. Finally Buttercup was able to put on a collar and leashed her. Buttercup asked around and found out that the dog looks familiar and live in the neighbourhood. Then Buttercup and Sheltie went from floor to floor looking for her owner. Finally the Sheltie led Buttercup in front of a door at 7th floor. Buttercup knocked and an Indian guy answered the door. YES! The Sheltie does belong to the family. They thanked Buttercup for bringing their dog back. They said that they didn't know that the dog sneaked out. They thought she was sleeping in the room. What an eventful night for all of us.
