New Food for me - Baked Tempeh

Tempeh, is fermented soya beans. It is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soya beans into a cake form. It is especially popular on the island of Java, where it is a staple source of protein. Mummy and Buttercup have been trying to become vegetarians.. after they watched the videos of animal cruelty in slaughter houses.. So now Mummy eats Tempeh for protein.. and I also eat Tempeh for treats.. But I hope I will not become vegetarian because I love my meat.

Manis the kitten is playing with Odie. Odie is a sweet dog.. He is not afraid of cats.

My 8 inches Long Shit

Do you think long body doggie can shit long long? Here's my longest shit at 8 inches. So Mummy took a photo for memory sake.

Here are photos of Manis playing with me... At first when I saw Manis, I rushed to approach her and bark bark bark at her.. Manis was not afraid of me at all. She came and paw at me. Oh.. when she started to play with me and paw at me.. I ran away from her.. scared!

Cookie has gone for 13 Teeth Extraction

My poor Cookie is in a lot of pain now... A total of 13 teeth were extracted from Cookie on Tuesday. She couldn't sleep the whole night when she came back from the vet.. Good for Cookie, her appetite is still as good! The rotten teeth smelled stinko! Mummy gave Cookie soft food for two days.. and Cookie is back to her normal self today, able to eat chicken meat again. She is still able to chew meat on the right side. Her left cracked premolar was taken out.. It was cracked in 2005, had been to vet and said it was OK to leave it alone. Mummy gave Cookie painkiller and antibiotics everyday. Now that Cookie has no more front teeth, does it mean that she can be unleashed at the beach as she no longer can nip children? Yeay! Cookie is finally free free free!!!

Visiting the Vet For Dental Problems

The red dot on Cookie's left top gum that Mummy thought was ulcer, is still there. The vet said that it is root abscess. Root abscess is pus enclosed in the tissues of the jaw bone at the tip of an infected tooth. Usually the abscess originates from a bacterial infection that has accumulated in the soft pulp of the tooth. As Cookie is ten years old, the vet did some tests for her liver, kidney and heart functions before we could decide if Cookie can go through general anesthesia. Her urea was too high.. so the vet did another test on her urine, and it was concentrated. So the vet said that her urea was high may be due to dehydration and not kidney problems. Cookie was very coorperative to urine for Buttercup in a container! Cookie is such a good girl! Cookie will be going for dental treatment on Tuesday.

At the clinic, Cookie was very well-behaved, good girl. I was growling and barking at the people and doggie friends. I was a bad girl at the clinic.

Every Thursday Mummy gives me a dried kangaroo backbone to chew. And this time, I cracked my right pre-molar. My cracked tooth bled when Buttercup was brushing it. The tooth pulp is bleeding. The vet pressed my tooth and it did not hurt. But now there is a hole which bacteria can breed easily. So I have to brush teeth even more diligently from now on. There is no vet in Singapore whom can seal my tooth. It is a very healthy tooth. So Mummy does not want to remove the tooth. So from now on, we will not be getting anymore bones to chew, except fish cartilage. Mummy will grind the bones so that we still get the calcium.

Manis the Kitten Meeting with Dewey

Manis the kitten should be about 4 months now. She is fearless! She is dog and human friendly. When she met me and Dewey, Cocker Spaniel, she just wanted to play and paw at us. I will show you how Manis likes to paw at me another time in my blog. If Dewey and Manis can get along, may be Dewey's Mummy can bring Manis home. Mummy is planning to sterilise Manis and she is having headache now on how to nurse Manis in our home for 2 days after Manis is sterilised. Cookie and I will be barking at Manis. Cookie may eat Manis. As for me, I am scared of Manis if she tries to paw at me.

Odie Went To Buy Durians

Mummy brought Odie to the market to buy some durians.

Odie was out for his walk in the cool afternoon after the morning heavy rain.

That's how Odie likes to pee.. on the grass. So far Odie has not used the newspaper toliet in our home yet. He prefers outdoor toilet.

When Can I Travel on MRT in Singapore?

I wonder when will Singapore be like the first world countries that allow me to travel in the MRT and buses. For now, I just have to bear with a third world country mentality.

Mummy, you don't think that I will be climbing all these stairs, right? My Mummy will carry me when we go up and down the long stairs. Yeah, i got fragile long backbones.

Dog-friendly Kitten

Odie met a very friendly female kitten. The kitten was not afraid of dogs. She has been living in the HDB void deck for a month now. She is super friendly. She always approaches me even though I bark at her like crazy.

Today Odie went to this place with lots of birds singing.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

This Bernese Mountain dog is beautiful. I never meet one in Singapore until now. I tried to blog yesterday, and I have problem uploading the photos.

Did Cookie just climb onto the tree?

There were many beautiful orchids here.

I was very interested in the fish swimming in the pond.

I love the walk to Singapore Botanic Gardens. We also checked out Dempsey Village nearby. The morning was beautiful. It was cloudy and not raining, thus not hot. We spent two hours walking around Botanic Gardens and Demsey Village.

Odie Went To The Market

Odie came for day care yesterday, and we were playing in the house. I was trying to blog about Odie's day care yesterday, but the Blogger was spoilt. I couldn't upload any photos yesterday.

Odie has started to enjoy his breakfast yogurt. But he still refused the fresh fruits.

Odie met a friendly dog on his walk. We were about to cross the zebra-crossing, and the unleashed dog came to say hello. Mummy was worried about the unleashed dog so near the road side. She went to look for the owner and found an immobile old lady with a walking stick calling for the dog to come to her.
